The administrator of your account can change the filter settings or override any sites that get blocked when they shouldn’t. If your parents are using it to keep you out of porn, then you’re just going to be out of luck.

Have her dad either add the site to the exceptions list, unblock the category, or call their tech support group. That’s what I’d try. From what I’ve heard, if you try to work around it, you could end up really messing up your computer…and that’s not fun at all.

Agreed, it NEEDS TO DIE! I tried using the registry, it shows up under it (unlike bsafe previously) but it doens’t have any values to modify and if I randomly name one it will cause more harm then good. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

The frustration of the young men labove ooking to circumvent the software above should be valid testimony to the fact that Safe Eyes actually works the way it is meant to. It is is the best solution of its type that I have found — it plugs the loopholes. Worth the $$.

I am a newly graduated computer technician with a masters degree. I played around to see if I could work my way around safe eyes. Unless you have a 4 year degree, there is no way to crack your way around this program. It took me several days on and off of advanced counter programming before I could override the program without crashing my computer. I highly recommend this software to families trying to protect their extremely tech savvy children from the evils of the internet. There is no way a teen can hack through this program!

I’ve found SafeEyes to be EXTREMELY flexible and any site can easily be added to the ALLOWED sites categories. My suggestion to those who are complaining about not being able to get to certain sites is this: Talk with your parents! If there’s a site that you feel should be allowed, take your parents there and explore the site TOGETHER. There are lots of sites that are harmful to kids AND adults alike, and lots of sites that are ok. If there are things on a site that you’re uncomfortable viewing with your parents…that may be an indicator that maybe it’s not such a great place to be in the first place. My kids bring sites to me on a regular basis - we check them out and in some cases, I add them to the ALLOWED sites. In other cases they stay on the BANNED list. The point is, we do it together. The sites I leave as BANNED are left that way because I care about my kids, not because I’m a grumpy old Dad who just wants to ruin their lives!

Yeah, it records your msn, at least it records the messages that you sent, im not sure if it records what the other person(s) was saying.
I HATE safe eyes. I saved up loads of money to buy a new mac, and then after LESS THAN A DAY my dad installs it GRR someone tell me how to kill it.

Reformat the pc. reinstall windows.

just make sure u make backups of everything before you do that

Just FYI, in case it wasn’t clear, the code won’t work if you are renewing a subscription you already had.

And a note to parents considering the software - putting SafeEyes on the computer is a good opportunity to talk to your kids about how you’re protecting them, and WHY you are protecting them. My 16 year old was actually fine with it once I explained why our family didn’t approve of porn. And my 10 year old feels like I’m watching out for her. And, as one person here said, you can add sites to the allowed list, which I did for certain sites I felt my kids could handle. Once they had some say in what they could do on the computer, the complaints stopped.

I have figured out a way to “glitch” safe eyes so as to let you bypass the block on the site of choice.
Unfortunatley I won’t be telling you how because then the safe eyes techs would find it and patch it up less then a day.
