Here in Music City

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

It’s quiet here in Nashville tonight.  It’s almost 1:00 a.m. local time, and the only noise in the house is the squeaking of the rocking chair I’m sitting in.  Tonight was the first Square Peg Alliance show, and it was awesome.  12 of the 13 Pegs were present to celebrate the launch of Eric Peters’ new release “Scarce”.  The other artists only did one song each, but they all did a great job.

Eric played with a full band tonight, which is rare.  Andrew Osenga on electrics and vocals, Cason Cooley on keys, Paul Eckberg on drums, and Brent Milligan (producer of “Scarce”) on bass.  They played about ten or eleven songs together, and each one was just fantastic.  Eric was “on” tonight.  The excitement over the CD release, plus the excitement over the Square Peg Alliance, plus the band, plus the great sound & venue.  It was a special night.

I’m going to head to bed here in just a few minutes, then get up for breakfast with a friend or two at The Pancake Pantry, a place that (I’ve been told) is an amazing “must visit” restaurant here in Nashville.  That should be a lot of fun.  After the breakfast, I’ll be heading back home to squeeze in a few hours of work before 5:00.

My eyelids are heavy, and I’m in need of some rest.  I’ll make sure I comment on The Pancake Pantry tomorrow after I get back home.  mmmmmm….pancakes…

So … what’d you think of the PP? I love it there. Mmmmm. [Damn, I'm hungry.]

Glad you got to go. Wish I could’ve been there with you!
