Windows Vista
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
We got a copy of Windows Vista in the office this week. One of the managers here is an MSDN member, so we downloaded it to see what all the excitement coming from Redmond has been about.
So far, we’ve had 1 of 3 things happen when we try to set it up:
Windows Vista Setup Scenario 1
Setup refuses to run
Windows Vista Setup Scenario 2
Setup runs and completes about 50% before crashing
Windows Vista Setup Scenario 3
Setup runs and completes. Then about 5 minutes after booting, it goes crazy and throws up a Blue Screen of Death.
You just don’t know how excited I am about the new and improved version of Windows.

It runs OK on a machine at my office, but it still isn’t that impressive. I’ve only played with it for about 15 minutes so far. Next is product compatability testing, I’m sure that will lead to all kinds of fun.
It’s gonna suck for the first year like all versions of windows. Then they will make you need to upgrade to keep your apps running.
