I got back from lunch today to find that I had 48 new comments on the blog. Wow. I must be popular…nope. Well, I’m popular, but that’s not why I had 48 new comments. It was all spam. Stupid spammers.
About 3 minutes after I deleted all the spam, I got hit again with more spam. I asked the almighty Google, and he suggested that I try Spam Karma. It’s a spam-eating plugin for Wordpress that actually works pretty well. Setup was as easy as copying files into a directory and activating the plugin.
I’m no veteran user of it, but from what I’ve seen in the last 7 minutes, I like it.

Eric Peters’ site was wacked by spammers too. The post regarding The Square Peg Allilance CD release party for Eric has over 30 posts, all Spam. Jerks.

I have installed plugins that prevent comment spams, but this won't prevent trackback to be blocked. I've been spam by many
MFA websites that most probably is from the same network with trackback, but they are not linking me on their website. May I
know how do they do it and how do I stop it? Without disabling trackback?

I am getting nailed with Spam on my website mails and in our blog website - now its offline too
much spam. Is there anyway to stop this? If not, there really isn’t any point in leaving it up
