My Neighbor Goes To Court

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I got a letter from Paulding County today.  My neighbor has to go to court because of the citation he was given.  That made me smile.  He’ll have to pay a fine or somehow argue that his grass wasn’t too tall.  I’ve got pictures if he decides to argue.  Yeah, I really took photos.  Maybe I’ll post them tomorrow.

"Ozzie Smith"

Last night I had a dream that I got to meet Ozzie Smith. Only instead of being a short black guy, he was a tall, chubby, balding white guy. And if that wasn’t odd enough, he was trying to teach me how to do this:

Ozzie Smith

And, for what it’s worth, even when dreaming, white men can’t do that.

Windows Vista

We got a copy of Windows Vista in the office this week.  One of the managers here is an MSDN member, so we downloaded it to see what all the excitement coming from Redmond has been about.

So far, we’ve had 1 of 3 things happen when we try to set it up:

Windows Vista Setup Scenario 1
Setup refuses to run

Windows Vista Setup Scenario 2
Setup runs and completes about 50% before crashing

Windows Vista Setup Scenario 3
Setup runs and completes.  Then about 5 minutes after booting, it goes crazy and throws up a Blue Screen of Death.

You just don’t know how excited I am about the new and improved version of Windows.

Calling All Bus Drivers!

If there’s a bus driver out there who is willing to run over Barry Bonds, I’ll help raise money for your legal defense fund.

Bad Neighbor Update

I got a call from Paulding County on Friday. They issued a citation to my neighbor for his lawn. They didn’t say anything about the litter because they couldn’t see it. I’ll call them tomorrow and explain that the litter is actually buried in the grass. The last time this happened, he mowed over the litter, and it went all over the place.

The way I understand things is that if he doesn’t mow within a week, he gets in even more trouble. That would be great in my efforts to run him out of the neighborhood.

This all leads me to a very important question…is it wrong to pray for rain every day in a situation like this? I hope not.

Searching for Ron Davis?

I’ve noticed a lot of search traffic of people looking for Ron Davis. I know I’m probably the one everybody is searching for, but just in case - for whatever reason - you want to know about a different Ron Davis, I put together The Ron Davis List.

I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while, but I never got around to it. It’s a list of all the people named Ron Davis that I could find in a very brief Google search. I’m sure there are more, but I’m too lazy to continue too far into the search.

"Bad Neighbors"

My neighbor is getting an unpleasant visit from a Paulding County official today. The grass in his back yard hasn’t been mowed in nearly a year. I called the Department of Public Safety and reported him. (If you’re in Paulding and have similar neighbors, the number is 770-222-1160. Choose option #2.)

Anyway, I’m trying to think of ways I can run him out of the neighborhood. Doing it legally would be the best option (I suppose). I thought about calling the Department of Homeland Security and reporting him as a terrorist. I have no proof that he is, but if he is, I certainly want them to know about him.

Have you got any ideas for running a neighbor out of a neighborhood? I’m open to suggestions.
