Norman Rockwell Limerick
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Sasha commented about limerick contests in the Saturday Evening Post, and though I haven’t (yet) entered one, I decided to get practiced up.
If I ever got chosen to paint
The cover of The Post, I would faint.
My pictures don’t tell
A story themselves;
For a Rockwell I certainly ain’t.

Roses are read
Violets are blue
If this blog is just going to be limericks
I will stop reading it too!
Ron @ 9:04 am:
lol. Even Shane’s getting in on the poetry action.
Never fear, I’ve got a couple updates coming that are just regular boring typing.
The Spine Doctor @ 1:56 pm:
I guess you can add art critic to the long list of Shane accomplishments!

Shane Kenny @ 9:52 am:
I doubt “art critic” would make the cut. The only art I really enjoy is created by a certain 5 (nearly 6) year old and usually needs his interpretation to truly enjoy it. Oh yeah, and video games as an art form is another artsy area that I enjoy.
Ron @ 11:28 am:
Shane’s much more than an art critic. He’s a critic of everything that exists around him. It’s a central part of who he is.
And, for the record, my limericks are hardly “art.”
Shane Kenny @ 1:48 pm:
If you can’t criticize it, you can’t make it better. If you can’t make it better, you can’t sell it. If you can’t sell it, you have to work for someone that can. Sounds like poetry to me!!
Ron @ 1:53 pm:
That’s Shane.
