I Pity The Fool…

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I watched with anticipation tonight as Mr. T’s new reality TV show debuted on TV Land.  I’ll give him credit for trying, but they’re going to have to do MUCH better to keep that show going.  Even when comparing it to regular TV Land programming, it’s just not impressive.

Did you see it?  Your thoughts?

Google Reader

At first I tried to avoid the whole XML reader thing. I didn’t go to that many web sites, and they were all bookmarked, so I just went to each site each day. It wasn’t very efficient, but it worked.

Then I added more sites to my regular daily reading. Then more. Then some more. And then I wasn’t keeping up with all of them like I needed (wanted) to. So I went over to Bloglines and setup an account. Life was good.

Then, very recently, Google launched a redesign of their formerly-not-so-good reader. I really like this version. I exported my Bloglines stuff and imported it into Google’s reader. It took every bit of 2 minutes to do.

Now I’ve learned that ebay can give you XML for search queries, so you can keep an eye on ebay for that thing you’re just dying to have, and you’ll know as soon as there’s one put up on the auction block. I’ve also picked up some Google-related subscriptions, including this one, which is a site that looks at funny/peculiar things found on the Google Earth pictures.

Google’s reader is here, and if you already have a Google account, you’ll find it’s even easier to get setup than you thought.

Tim McCarver

While listening to Tim McCarver drone on and on during the Yankees game last night, I was reminded of this clip from Family Guy.  The show was great before they made fun of Tim McCarver, but this scene moved them up a notch.

(For those of you who have never heard Tim McCarver run his mouth throughout a baseball game, yes, he really is that bad.)

It’s Time!

It’s that time of year again.  It’s the time when the weather starts to change, when the best teams in baseball begin their post season run for the World Series.  It won’t be long before King Wulfgar starts griping about how the baseball playoffs interrupt his TV watching habits.

Here are my predictions:
ALDS - Yankees in 4 games over Tigers.
ALCS - Yankees in 6 games over Twins.
WS - Yankees in 6 games over Mets.
