Just Another Trip to Wal-Mart

I saw Brad Avery in Wal-Mart today. I’m not really (read: at all) a Third Day fan, but it was still kind of cool. I used to have his daughter in my Awana games group at church a few years back. They’re really nice people.
Have you had any recent “celebrity sightings”?

The Spine Doctor's Wife @ 9:38 am:
Not recently, but when I worked at Phipps and Lenox I saw celebs on a regular basis, among them are Chili, from the group TLC(she bought a pair of earrings from me), Elton John, Brett Butler, Shaq, and Busta Rhymes. Elton John was the only one that I really thought was all that cool. The others had people trailing after them to get autographs, Elton had an entourage of body guards, you couldn’t get anywhere near him.
Of course back in November I got to meet Elisa Morgan, the CEO of MOPS international. She was extrememly nice.
Ron @ 9:47 am:
Was that Brett Butler the all-star baseball player, or Brett Butler the alleged comedienne?
The Spine Doctor's Wife @ 10:33 pm:
Unfortunately the alleged comedian. I should have clarified that no one was following her for her autograph…there was merely pointing and whispering.

I was waiting in the Nashville, TN “music city” International Airport when I saw the lead singer for “The Newsboys” waiting at my gate for the same plane. He was wearing eye-liner. I happened to sit in the seat looking over his shoulder (which I took advantage of) and found that he was doing a study in I Corinthians on the plane. I called my wife and asked her to get our old-dusty CD out to find out what his name was. So, finally, when I asked “Are you (I forgot his name again) from the Newsboys”, he said “Yes”. Like any good man who’s anything but a good communicator, I said. “We saw you in concert in Orlando. We appreciate your ministry.” I was going to sing his songs to him, but I didn’t want him to call security.
