I Love Wyoming

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Google Analytics told me an alarming fact today. Nobody from Wyoming visits my blog. So today I’m reaching out to the fine folks of Wyoming. (If you’re wondering if this is a vain attempt to increase my blog readership, the answer is maybe.)

Here are some great bits of trivia about Wyoming:

  • Anyone in Wyoming who fails to close a fence is subject to a fine up to $750. (and rightly so)
  • Wyoming has the lowest population of all 50 states. (This may explain the lack of web traffic from Wyoming.)
  • Residents of Cheyenne are not permitted to shower on Wednesdays
  • Junk dealers in Wyoming are prohibited from doing business with someone who is drunk. (Who among us hasn’t regretted visiting a junk yard while inebriated?)
  • From January through April, people in Wyoming are prohibited from taking a picture of a rabbit without a permit.
  • Wyoming was the first state to allow women to vote. (Feminists.)

Ok, so I’m joking about the feminist comment. Seriously, I like Wyoming. I’ve never been, but I’m sure it’s great. For all you Wyomians (Wyomans? Wyomianites?), feel free to come around.  (If you could come on days when you’re allowed to shower, that’d be great.)

Greg Sailors @ 2:45 pm:

Does anyone live in Wyoming? I was through there once and all I saw were Bison.

Tanya @ 3:24 pm:

Once upon a time I went to Wyoming. I got my postcard and left. It might have been more fun if we were there during the day.

Chris @ 4:12 pm:

According to answers.com, they’re called Wyomingites. You should really do your research before posting these things. ;)

Hey, maybe I can help. I know someone who lives in Wyoming. I am gonna tell her about your site just so you can have someone from Wyoming visit your blog.

So you need me? Just in a time of crisis I gather. Mr. Ron, Im so glad that I could be of assistance. (wink wink)
First let me tell you, that I didn’t know we had some of these laws you have posted. I must have a rebellious streak in me. I showered yesterday. (yes, it was Wednesday) I find myself wanting to get out my fancy digital camera, hang out in my front yard to get a wilderness photo of the little rabbits that inhabit it. (not in my backyard, because my dog Otis will snack on them).
Just so you know, its not like I grew up wishing myself to this state. My husband is in the military, and so I follow, wind blowing in my hair, dust in my eyes. (makes me think of pioneering).
Wyoming has some very pretty scenery very….WEST OF HERE. Think the place is called Yellowstone. Oh we do have some buffalo down south of the border, into Colorado near the interstate. HUUUUUGE buffalo farm there. Just the other day I helped a poor tourist that rolled her car several times, trying to watch them and drive at the same time. Not very smart, as its very windy here at times. She is fine by the way. Those side airbags are amazing.
If you ever need anything.. anything at all. I will be around more often, because Im curious how the sports thing is going on your front page.

Your Wyoming friend,
~Keri

OMG. I wrote the wrong myspace profile. Makes me look like I have some musical talent though. Its actually wyomingchicken….. not keri. (its 4:30am so cut me some slack)
She is pretty though. Wonder if she sings good?

OK, so I goofed on the whole Web site thing too, but I have fixed it now.

Ron Davis @ 12:42 am:

Hi Keri. Welcome aboard. I’m glad to have Wyoming represented here now.

Thanks Dawna. Any plans on you coming back down here to the south? I haven’t seen you since (I think) graduation!

Dawna Huffmaster @ 2:16 pm:

I was down there last September so it might be a while before I am back down that way. Terry just reenlisted and will be going back on sea duty this summer so it might be as long as 3 years (when his sea tour is over) before I am back down there.
