A Special Thursday

by Ron Davis on July 23, 2009

Today was a tough day.  I’m not even sure why.  I had trouble focusing at work, got frustrated at the smallest issues, and had to try extra hard to avoid an abusive tone with coworkers I (mostly) like.  My wife’s day was similarly awful.

The bad day turned 180 degrees tonight when my daughter came out of her room crying.

“I want to get saved.”

Those are 5 words that’ll grab your attention.

I held her in my arms and talked to her for a bit.  She knew what she needed to do, why she needed to do it, and how to do it.

So right there on the bed, we prayed together.  She got eternal life, and I got a new daughter.

Kaitlyn is a new person tonight.  What a special Thursday this has been.
