At the beginning of the baseball season this year, I predicted the following for postseason baseball:
AL East – Boston Red Sox
AL Central – Minnesota Twins
AL West – Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim)
AL Wild Card – New York YankeesNL East – Philadelphia Phillies
NL Central – St. Louis Cardinals
NL West – Los Angeles Dodgers
NL Wild Card – Atlanta Braves
In the American League, I got the Wild Card and the AL East flipped around, and in the National League, I put a little too much faith in the Braves. Other than that, I did ok.
Yes, I know the Twins haven’t won it yet, but the Central winner shouldn’t matter anyway (as you’ll see in a moment). If I had to put money on the playoff game between the Tigers and Twins, I’d bet on the Tigers. But since I like to be right in my predictions, I’m pulling for the Twins.
So here are my predictions for 2009 postseason baseball:
ALDS:
NYY over MIN (or DET) in 4 games
LAA over BOS in 5 gamesALCS:
NYY over LAA in 6 gamesNLDS:
PHI over COL in 3 games
LAD over STL in 5 gamesNLCS:
LAD over PHI in 5 gamesWorld Series:
NYY over LAD in 6 games
What are you predicting?
