So as much as I love the World Series, and as much as I love it when the Yankees are there, I absolutely hate listening to Tim McCarver talk. The guy is just awful. But I’m going to try to be an optimist here. My team is, after all, in the Series, so it’s not like I have to watch McCarver call a series with Boston playing.
The optimist in me decided to make a list of some things that are worse to hear than Tim McCarver announcing a baseball game. Here you go:
- Celine Dion’s cover of “You Shook Me All Night Long”
- “The Red Sox are World Champions!”
- Joe Morgan telling a story about what famous person he recently had dinner with.
- Fingernails on a blackboard
- “Omazing Grace”
What else? Surely there’s something I didn’t include.
