About Ron Davis

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a web site where people could always get current info on what I’m doing. I tried that a while back, but updating it was hard. So moreron.com sat here painfully outdated for some time.

Then in May 2005, I discovered WordPress. Oh, what a glorious day that was. I had it downloaded, installed, and setup in no time. I had officially entered the world of blogging! I must admit, I’m pretty proud of myself for keeping this thing updated. I usually have the attention span of a hyperactive infant.

So you’ve found my blog (either because you know me or because I rank well in Google for some search term you were using). I suppose the polite thing to do would be to introduce myself.

I live in Dallas, Georgia. I work in Acworth, Georgia. I have a wife, 2 kids, a cat, 2 cars, and a mortgage. If you want to babysit the kids, take the cat, buy me new cars, or pay the mortgage, drop me an email.

I’ve got a degree in Computer Science from an intentionally unnamed school in Florida. And I did the MCSE thing back when it was the popular thing to do. The funny thing is that I rarely use my programming degree, and I don’t work too much on Microsoft stuff any more. But I could make NT domains trust each other if I had to.

At work I do many things. Mostly, I keep children safe online.

When not working or with the family, I manage a couple of web sites, get my hands in some search engine optimization, drive crazy distances to concerts, play with the kids, watch baseball, and work in the yard.
